Our construction technology is based on lightweight concrete with special polystyrene admixture, from which we manufacture and sell various products, building boards, partitions and masonry elements due to its many advantageous properties. Polystyrene concrete is a very good thermal insulation, durable, light, very good vapor permeability, easy to form building material, so it is an excellent raw material for masonry and other construction products. Lightweight polystyrene admixture was developed in the 1950s by the German company BASF, from where it quickly spread worldwide. Polystyrene concrete has many advantageous properties, but despite being known almost everywhere in the construction industry, its potential is far from being exploited. It is preferred in many countries for the construction of high-rise buildings, for the walls of steel-framed hotels, office buildings, farm buildings and many single-family homes due to its reliability, excellent heat and moisture properties, durability, good formability, fire resistance and other good properties. In Hungary, lightweight concrete is mostly known and marketed in sacks, ie in bulk form, as a concrete admixture for the production of lightweight concretes of varying body density, for filling, as a post-thermal insulation of attics, attics, etc. However, in addition to the most typical application, there are many other applications, so our company also produces finished products in a unique way in the country, ie gBlock masonry elements, prefabricated gWall partitions and gPanel building boards from polystyrene lightweight concrete, which are described in more detail under PRODUCTS.

Thermal conductivity (λ): 0.068 - 0.075
Heat capacity (c): 1.6 + - 0.2 kJ kg -1 K -1
Vapor diffusion resistance (μ): 5 to 10
Capillary water uptake (wt): 1.8 - 2.6

The biggest difference lies in the construction of the masonry, because while the prefabricated houses are made with a classic layered wall structure, SIXBAU uses a solid and homogeneous wall structure. The two technical solutions are fundamentally different. In general, homogeneous wall structures have a number of advantages over so-called sandwich structures made of different layers. These include the minimal occurrence of faults during construction, long-term reliability and uniform comfort throughout the life of the building, the freedom of solid masonry from rodents, insects and other pests, and the insensitivity of the walls to soaking and wetting. Another not insignificant difference is that while the life expectancy of lightweight buildings in Hungary is set at 25 years, this is 50 years for SIXBAU building structures, ie twice as long a SIXBAU building as a lightweight house.

  • Only 6 pieces are needed to build 1 m2 of masonry
  • Better thermal insulation capacity (U = 0.18 W / m2K)
  • Not sensitive to moisture
  • The gBlock brick is only damaged but not broken
  • Masonry is possible below 0 degrees
  • 100% recyclable

GPanel 8 cm vtg lightweight concrete building board is suitable for masonry, can be tiled immediately or can be painted.

Of course, both single- and two-storey buildings with the SIXBAU BLOCK building system are suitable

The doors and windows are fixed in the traditional way with fixing screws which are attached to the steel profiles of the window frame covered with edge elements.

B30 wall + 10 cm thermal insulation coefficient: U = 0.30 W / m2K SIXBAU gBlock 41 cm vtg. for masonry the same U = 0.18 W / m2K .So our wall structure is almost twice as thermal insulating as the wall structure made of B30 brick + 10cm polystyrene thermal insulation.

Objects, shelves, etc. are not a problem in SIXBAU masonry. For the polystyrene concrete elements produced by us (bricks, partitions, building boards), we provide a technical aid for fastening if required. It is important to use commercially available dowels and screws that are sized for the weight to be fixed, preferably from a reliable manufacturer (eg Fischer products are excellent for these tasks).

The solid and homogeneous polystyrene concrete wall structure is not inhabited by rodents and pests, nor do birds and insects move into it, they do not choose it as a habitat.

According to the NMÉ (national technical evaluation), the service life of the polystyrene concrete products we produce is 50 years.

The vapor diffusion value of SIXBAU gBlock masonry is very close to that of clay bricks, so the masonry allows moisture to pass through in a very similar way to clay brick masonry. According to point 2.3 of the National Technical Assessment (NMÉ) issued by ÉMI A-37/2015: the vapor diffusion value is between 7-10. (MSZ EN 12086-2013) The vapor diffusion value for adobe masonry similarly shows a value between 5-10.

SIXBAU's products will be available nationwide, until then you can find them in some stores of Szerelvénybolt Kft., As well, you can order and pick them up at the factory in Röszke.

Thermo-cladding can be used to build low-energy buildings and passive houses. The Thermo-cladding system is an almost completely enclosed, air- and moisture-impermeable cladding around the building. If used, the use of forced ventilation equipment is required. The Thermo-house is an air-permeable and vapor-permeable building structure with filtration capacity, which does not require the use of forced ventilation, so more natural fresh air and comfort can be ensured.

In the case of previously used EPS thermal insulation materials, flame retardants such as HBCD have been shown to be toxic to some living organisms worldwide as a result of numerous studies. Accordingly, the EPS raw materials we use are completely HBCD-free, ie they do not contain toxic substances.
